Ariane 6 Status

Ariane 6 to Launch Between June 15th and July 31st, 2024

ESA, CNES, and ArianeGroup Target Initial Launch

All-New Design to Replace Ariane 5

The European Space Agency (ESA), the French space agency (CNES), and ArianeGroup have announced that the first launch of the Ariane 6 rocket is scheduled for a window between June 15th and July 31st, 2024. The launch will take place from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, and will mark the culmination of years of development and testing.

Ariane 6 is an all-new design that will replace the venerable Ariane 5 as Europe's heavy-lift launch vehicle. It is intended to be more cost-effective and flexible than its predecessor, and will be capable of launching a wide range of payloads to orbit, including satellites for telecommunications, navigation, and Earth observation.

The final stages of Ariane 6's development are currently underway in French Guiana and Germany, with the rocket expected to undergo its first flight tests later this year. If successful, the Ariane 6 will provide Europe with a powerful and reliable launch vehicle for the coming decades.
